Backing Up window
The Backing Up window shows the backup progress.

Item Description
Start button

Start/resume the backup process.

Pause button Pauses the backup process.
Stop button Stops the backup process.
Elapsed time Shows the elapsed time from the start of the backup process. It stops at the end of the backup process.
Rotating icon The icon rotates when backup is running.
Task label Shows description of the current task.
File label Shows the path of the current file.
Percentage label Shows the percentage of completion of the current task.
Progress bar Shows the percentage of completion of the current task.
Show/Hide details link Click on the link to show or hide backup details pane.
Backup details pane The details pane contains information of four tasks:
  • Scan computer for new files: this task updates the backup set using backup rules. For example, if you choose to back up all .doc files, this task scans all files in your computer and add all .doc files to the backup set.
  • Delete file not in backup set from destination: this tasks deletes files not in backup set from local destination and online backup server. You can turn off this task by un-checking "Delete file not in backup set from destination" in the Backup Option Window.
  • Check files deleted from this computer since last backup: this task marks a file deleted if it was previously backed up and it does not exist in the computer when backup is running. This task checks file in the local drives only. You can turn off this task by un-checking "Check files deleted from this computer since last backup" in the Backup Option Window.
  • Back up files: This task backs up new or changes file to the local backup destination and online backup server.
The following are the icons indicating the status of the tasks.
The task is not started yet.
The task is running.
The task is completed.
The task is canceled.
The task is skipped.
Slow down backup Check this box to slow down the backup process when you are using the computer. You can adjust the slider to balance the backup speed and computer response. You can also change the setting in in the Backup Option Window.
Snooze option If you want to delay the backup, you can select amount of time to delay and click the Snooze button. The backup process will stop and resume in the specified time.
View Report button The View Report button is enabled when the backup process is completed or stopped. Click this button to see details of the backup such as the list of files backed up.
Stop button Click the Stop button to stop backup.
Finish button When backup is completed or stopped, the Stop button is changed to the Finish button. Click this button to return to the Backup Set window.
